Treatments

Treatments provided by the clinic

Leading diagnostic examination and assessment Instruments to fully and acuratally diagnose your condition thereby saving you both time and money.

Examination and Assessment
All patients are fully examined and assessed by either a Chartered Physiotherapist or doctor.  A diagnosis of the condition will be given to you and this will be followed by an explanation as to what your condition is and how best to fully resolve it.

Ultrasound Imaging Scan
It may be necessary to undergo an ultrasound imaging scan whereby you will be scanned and the images wil be shown and explained to you. This can further give a more specific and acurate diagnosis in most cases.

Isokinetic Rehabilitation.
Some conditions may require further examination by the use of the isokinetic equipment. This gives a computerised readout of any joint / muscle or tendon strength or weakness when put through a range of movement. It is extremely useful when people have just had surgery or suffer from repeated injuries.

Hydrotherapy.
This is available for patients who require a specific rehabiliation program who have undergone surgery and have had joint replacements or have neurological conditions such as a stroke or Multiple Sclerocis.

Injection Therapy
This technique involves the injection of  anti inflammatory and anaesthetic medication to bring about a prompt resolution of symptoms and break a pain cycle. It is not a long term solution and this works very well together with traditional physiotherapy techniques including core stability , Pilates and muscle energy techiques.

Manipulation.
Is a well tried and tested procedure that involves gradually mobilising and stretching soft  including muscle, tendons and joint tissues  to reach their maximum range. It is important for all people to help maintain their normal degree of mobility.

Biomechanical Analysis
We offer a consultancy service in which the client's walking pattern is assessed and, where appropriate, orthotic inserts prepared. For anyone who participates in any kind of sport at whatever level, it is essential that the feet and legs are maintained in their ideal Biomechanical position. This will reduce the risk of future injuries as well as helping to improve performance and speed up recovery.

Post injury / Rehabilitation
Specific training/fitness programme to ensure full recovery following physiotherapy.
