Michael Garmston, Director and Head Physiotherapist
He has over 22 years experience. He Qualified in 1986 as a Chartered Physiotherapist and has a B.Sc.(Hons) in Physiotherapy and Health Sciences. He became head Physiotherapist in the National Health Services hospitals and was an honary lecturer at Birmingham University.
Following a succesful career as an international athlete he went on to become head physiotherapist to the British Athletics Olympic Teams and attended numerous World Championships and Commonwealth Games in addition to The 1992 Barcelona, 1996 Atlanta, and 2000 Sydney Olympic Games. He was also a member of the The British Olympic medical committee. During this period he was personal physiotherapist to a number of British Olympic medalists and World Champions. Whole careers and lives depended upon his treatment if they were to achieve success
In addition to this Michael was involved in physiotherapy services to television including the long running 'Gladiators' T.V series. Since then he has been involved in the development and delivering of physiotherapy services to national T.V progarmmes.
He is married to former Olympic medallist and Commonwealth Games Champion Sonia Lannaman M.B.E. Michael aims to deliver his skills developed over the years to patients within the clinic so they too can realise their true potential and maximise their full recovery.
Marcus Alsop, Pesonal Fitness Trainer
With over 12 years experience within the health and fitness industry he is one of the most sought after trainers in the Midlands. Having worked in the USA and Canada as a personal ski instructor he competed at National level in swimming and he knows the importance of achieving results.
Being a highly qualified trainer means that he has had the opportunity to train a full spectrum of clients. These include international athletes and celebrities to those taking their first steps on the road to fitness, helping them all achieve their personal goals. Karl Travis - State Registered Podiatrist
After qualifying in 1988 from Birmingham with a Diploma in Podiatric Medicine and a Bachelor of Science (with honours) he founded a sports injuries clinic in Staffordshire together wih 2 Physiotherapists interested in providing high quality services to sports people at every level.
Due to the success of this clinic, in 1984 he set up a further Specialist Biomechanical and Gait Assessment Clinic at Armitage. The facilities there and at Birmingham include a video treadmill analyser for detailed examination of gait pattern and running style.

With over 20 years experience Is one of the Uk's leading Neurological physiotherapist specialists treating conditions such as strokes, multiple sclerosis and other related conditions.He is a lecturer at Coventry University and gained two masters degrees in his specialist field from University College London (Cognitive Neuropsychology ) and Brunel University (Neurorehabilitation). He is a member of the Association Chartered Society Interest in Neurology and an author of scientific papers.
John Garmston, Chartered Physiotherapist
Leading Orthopaedic and Sports medicine specialist with over 18 years experience within his profession and former physiotherapist to the England Schools rugby union and British athletics team. He is a leader in the area of soft tissue manipulation and exercise protocols. He was a former international hurdler and utilises his sports experience in the rehabiltative medicine.
Emma James, Chartered Physiotherapist
Chartered Physiotherapist specialising in Women's Health with extensive postgraduate training having attended many courses and completed the Bradford University Theory ad Practice of Physiotherapy in Women's Health in 2003.
Initially worked within the NHS at Heartlands Hospital but now working for the Dudley Group of Hospitals treating a wide variety of patients including women with urinary and faecal incontinence, constipation and perineal pain.
